Idaho‘s Youngest Master Diver writes a book for other youth and
 children about his underwater adventures-

August 21, 2006 -Boise, Idaho-- When Cody Brown became Idaho ‘ s youngest-ever Master Scuba Diver last September, it was far from the end of his story. Today, Cody has literally written the book on the subject. In conjunction with Dive Magic, of Boise, Cody Brown today announced the release of his new book,  “ Scuba For Kids. “

Twelve-year-old Cody‘ s reasons for writing the book were twofold. He wanted to make other youth and children aware that scuba diving can be safe, fun and even educational. And secondly, he wanted to inspire and excite other youth about diving by sharing his own adventures as he pursued his goal of becoming one of the youngest-ever Master-certified divers in the world.

Cody is quick to point out that while he received tremendous support from the staff of Dive Magic and from his father, technologist Dave Brown, when it came to the actual writing of   “Scuba For Kids, “  no adults were allowed. The concepts, the material and the writing of this new book belong to Cody alone.

“ Cody is the most dedicated scuba diver I know for  his age and diving experience, “ said Dan Kendall, an instructor for Dive Magic. “ He has unbelievable buoyancy control. Cody also shoots underwater video and comes up with fabulous shots, which is difficult to do even with years of experience. I am also amazed by Cody‘s knowledge about marine life that he has gained from diving experience and from all of the reading he has done on the undersea world. “
“With this new book, Cody is sharing his passion with others, to inspire an entirely new generation of divers and give them the information they need to begin. “

Cody will launch  “ Scuba For Kids “  at a book signing at Dive Magic in Boise, Idaho at 2350 Vista Ave at 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2006.
